Collection: Union City Sacchi

This collection is made from a lovely lavender fabric with a chain-like design in cream.  The straps are a small animal print in camel and cream and the pockets are a tweed design in shades of purple, fuchsia and cream.

Union City, Tennessee is the county seat of Obion County, Tennessee and the home of Sacchi Doss, who is considered a legend.  Sacchi (pronounced "sack e") was born in Alabama but moved here with her new husband whom she met in college in the 50's.  If you saw her, you would never imagine that she is into her ninth decade.  She opened Union City Ballet school and helped create Masquerade Theater.  This has brought the love of dance and theater to a place in rural America with very little exposure to either.  Over the years, many little girls have been taught grace, poise and self-confidence including a member of our own board of directors, Emily Billingsley and Sacchi has distinguished herself as Obion County's favorite ballerina as well as the 2019 "Pride of Obion County."

We are honored to name this collection for her and all the "purple people" in the town that is our next door neighbor who can pirouette and arabesque because of her.
