The OUTsideIN Backpack is the perfect piece to use as a carryon for your next flight. It has webbing straps like a traditional backpack but has an added feature that makes it perfect to slip over the handles of a roller bag for easy transport through a busy airport.
Our backpack is 15" tall, 11.5" wide and 5"deep. We've used the Making Backpack pattern from Noodlehead. It has a large pocket across the front that is 11.5" deep and a smaller zippered pocket on the back. This pocket is sewn so that the handle of a roller bag can slide between the bag and the pocket, holding the backpack in an upright and secure position. There are also small webbing handles for when you want to carry the bag as hand luggage rather than as a backpack. The bag is fully lined with a large elasticized pocket on the inside. The zipper pulls are designed and crafted by hand from buttons, beads and hemp cord.
This fun bag has a faint design of elephants, palm trees and horses in dark teal on a background of lighter teal. The large pocket on the front has an abstract stripe design in gold, navy, brown and teal. The zippers and webbing straps are brown and the hardware is brushed nickel.
